I'm new and EXCITED!

I decided in May to look into the LapBand proceedure after years of unhappy and unsuccessful efforts to lose weight. Right away I found out that my insurance covered the proceedure and that there was a Dr. not too far from where I live with an excellent reputation and a great program. After attending the required seminar, I had made my mind up that I wanted to go ahead and have the surgery. I have been so excited since the process started, I can hardly sleep at night! I found out last week that I will be having my surgery on June 17th ...and I have been full steam ahead since! I have been creeping around here for a while now and decided that it is time to introduce myself and hopefully make some new friends!

congrats!!!!! i must say that your preop journey was rather fast i had to wait 5 months. hope all goes well!!!

Good luck to you! I too have made my mind up. I've filled my paperwork out today, I go to my PCP next week and ready to get the ball rolling.

Wow! You sure got everything set up pretty fast! It takes quite a few months around here.

I too am new to the website... and tentatively have lapband surgery scheduled for June 17 - still have my psych consult and then will submit everything to insurance... Good Luck to you

It has gone so much faster than I ever thought it would...I am so glad that I have not had the bumps in the road like others I have read about...I would go crazy! I cannot imagine having to wait five months...I am like a kid on Christmas Eve....the anticipation is killing me!
