Buffalo NY Dr Viglianco

Recommended Posts

I posted this elsewhere but I'm not sure it was the right place so I am going to try here.

Hello! I've been sitting on the paperwork to get this process going since about October 2008. I have spent the weekend reading and reading and more reading here in the forums. I've made up my mind, I am filling the paper work out, I have appointment with my PCP next week and I'm going to get this ball rolling!!!!

I'm tired of being fat, I'm tired of the physical pain, I'm tired of not being able to enjoy life, I'm tired of not being able to move, I'm tired of not being able to do things I enjoy AND I'm just tried of being tired! End of story!

Are there any bandsters or soon to be bandsters that are in the Buffalo/Niagara area that have preferably used Synergy Bariatrics? I'm looking to connect with others that have been through the process w/Dr Viglianco. I know there are many who have utilized BGH. I tried 4 times to get the application packet and got nothing! I had the info from Synergy in 3 days.

So, I would love to talk with others who are in the process or already been through it.

Thanks!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
