the best me 6 Posted September 11, 2005 Jay, if you can't eat it yet, don't try. Eat what you can and day by day it gets better. 2 ounces is alot on day, what? 2?? Slow down. Don't push it. Just sip what you can. And try Egg Drop Soup when you are on Full liquids. Warm, easy to go down, full of protien, makes you feel so much better! You can get it for take-out at any Chinese food Restaurant. Your port site will improve with time, too. Listen to your body. Take it easy. Your'e doing it!!!! Flutterby2b 0 Posted September 11, 2005 Congrats Jay. Slow and easy- that's that way to take it. I wasn't able to do a full 2 oz at first. It took me 15 - 30 mins just sipping it. But daily it gets better. Welcome to Band Land.

bubblesstina 0 Posted September 16, 2005 Jay, it is not unusual for your port area to be sore. That is the largest incision and will take the longest to heal. Did you have your surg at Frisco Med center? Is tht place amazing or what???!! Just take it easy on getting your 2 ounces at one sitting. It took me about 45 min to an hour to get my 2 ounces doen the first 4 or 5 days. the worst part was when the broth cooled off...yuck!! lol Let us know how you are doing.. PS have you met Dr. Cribbons yet? If you can get one of your fills with him it will be worth it just to get to meet him. He is SOO nice and pretty easy on the eyes also... haha

Fernwade That comedian probably had his guts cut and spliced back together...that is the great thing about lapband...no intestinal or stomach cutting...just a simple belt placed around your stomach to make a smaller pouch. Do your research and share it with your hubby. With my husband it is a financial thing... GOOD LUCK! Cheri
Guest fernwade Posted September 17, 2005 Money is a consideration,I don't think my insurance covers it.Thanks for your reply fernwade
