All you need is:

Tilapia ( 4-5 oz per slice)

Italian Style Panco - Japanese style bread crumb

Egg Whites

Dip the Tilapia in egg whites, roll it in the Italian Style Panco and place it on a baking tray or pizza stone. Spray the top of the Tilapia with PAM cooking spray. Bake 20-25 min @ 425' then sprinkle lemon juice..........

Delicious....

A good alternative to tarter sauce is horseradish sauce.

ENJOY !!

Here is my recipe, the tilapia comes so yummy.

1. 6-8 pieces of tilapia fillet.

2.I can rottel canned tomatoes) i like the ne with th lime juice and cilantro.

3.Diced onions.

4.Basil and Garlic seasoning.

5.Zesty Lemon pepper seasoning.

6.Olive oil.

> Line the tilapia in a baking tray ,sprinkle with the spices enough to cover both sides.

> pour the onions on top of the tilapia fillet.

>Dash the tilapia with some olive oil (Enough to your liking)

>Put in the oven at 450(I use this)

>Let cook for a couple of minutes and then turn over the fillet.

>After turning pour over the canned rottel tomatoes and cover and bake untill cooked.

This is so yummy, its my African recipe. It make the fish not dry and gives it like a sauce, i eat this daily with some broccolli and caulifloer that i steam with no butter/salt.

New to fish territory. Been living on shrimp for like 5 days now.... What is a good fish that absorbs flavor & is not fishy (P.S- I'm severely allergic to Cod, so thats out)

Sarah, tilapia is your best bet to start off with. It's thin and it's not fishy at all, imo. Especially when you season it up. It isn't thick and fishy like say, salmon {which I do love}. Other than that, maybe whitefish. But I would start with tilapia and see how you handle that.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
