flower 2 Posted September 8, 2005 Do you have to tell your dental hygenist you got the band I recently went for a cleaning and didn't tell her she really didn't have to know shes cleaning my teeth should the dentist know whats your advice thanks
NJChick 3 Posted September 9, 2005 I wouldn't think you'd have to tell them, they are using a local anesthetic right?
Marimaru 7 Posted September 9, 2005 Instead of telling the dentist, you might talk to your band surgeon and ask him if you should be on any kind of antibiotic when you go to the dentist for the first year after surgery. some surgeons like to do that, and your dentist still doesn't have to know. giveyouthemoon 4 Posted September 9, 2005 I told my dentist simply because he's one of the physicians responsible for my health and each health care practitioner should know everything they are dealing with.
Alexandra 55 Posted September 9, 2005 I've never mentioned it to my dentist, but would if there were anything more than local anaesthetic involved.
