I am not sure how many of you have been banded by Dr Feiz, but if you live here in the LA area he is the only one to go to! I did a lot of research on him before I chose him. He is young, he is a great help thru the entire procedure and his after care is tremendous! The office staff also make the experience a good one and help a lot with the Insurance. I was approved within one month of first seeing Dr. Feiz. Surgery scheduling was fast and easy. You can see him in multiple offices in the area. I started in the Pasadena office and now I see him in the Encino office, he is also in Valencia and I believe out in Simi Valley area.

His SMILE takes all of your fears and troubles away! When he is with you giving you an adjustment or just answering questions you feel that you are his only patient! That is a great thing. I work for doctors and it is hard to find one like this!

I hope more of you will give your thoughts about this wonderful Doctor. Cheryl, thetig,

Burbank, California

I must agree the Dr. Feiz is fabulous. He is up front and honest about every tiny detail, and will give you the same type of answer to a question. The entire staff was amazing and all are very quick to respond to messages, e mails or any other form of communication. I met Dr. Feiz at his Valencia location (easy to find, good parking). I am very happy I was lucky enough to find a doctor as qualified and excellent as Dr. Feiz.

My experience with Dr.Feiz was through the Thousand Oaks office. Since my surgery was late getting started and I had to listen to a staff member complain about how much she didn't want to be there only made me more nervous. I did not meet him until about 1hr before surgery and I felt very comfortable with him. The only regret I have is that the office never asked if I wanted the lapband AP or Realize and I had to choose at that moment. All went well and I have absolutely no regrets. The office staff is great and insurance approval was fast

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
