Kiki's Banded 0 Posted May 16, 2009 Hi All Had my surgery last week at Winthrop Hospital and used Dr. Brathwaite. What a terrific surgeon and staff! Honestly a few hours before surgery and right up to them wheeling me in, I was having panic attacks out of no where. I was ready to walk out of the hospital but am soooo glad I didn't. Everyone reassured me that I was making the right decision and I know I did. In the first week I lost 11 pounds. My only concern is that I am 12 days out from surgery and no weight loss since the first week. Anyone know why? I am barely eating 600 calories and am moving & drinking. I am on soft liquids for a few more days. Any suggestions or explanations would be helpful. Thanks
susie e 0 Posted May 16, 2009 I am three and a half weeks since surgery and most of my weight loss was the first ten days also. I am hoping that is becaue I have not received my first fill. I have lost about 15 pounds. I am also exercising and have changed my habits drastically. I was expecting more weight loss than this.
Kiki's Banded 0 Posted May 16, 2009 Me too! I did read in one of these blogs that you can have a metabolic slow down. It sounds good but I can tell you that the scale better start moving. LOL
OnTheWay to Thin 0 Posted May 16, 2009 You are not getting enough calories, so your body has gone into starvation mode, basically when you dont eat enough your body holds onto everything it has, wont let go to conserve itself and drastically slows the metabolism as well, just keep following the doctors advice and you will start losing again.
