Nchaka 0 Posted May 16, 2009 i don't have Aetna but do you have a dated pictures for 2007? You can include those with a letter stating your weight. Did you get physical for work? That may help also.

lindas0809 0 Posted May 16, 2009 I think you'll be OK - I got approved by Aetna HMO in March. I have been over 40 BMI for at least eight years, but changed Dr.s in 2008- my surgeons office told me to get my old Dr.'s records for more weight history and I was working on it and they turned everything in before I got it to them!!! I thought I would be rejected for sure with only a year of height history - but it came back approved in two days!! I think if you are well over the 40 BMI it's not as much of an issue. Good luck!! Lady Lap Band 71 Posted May 16, 2009 I have Aetna and was approved very quickly. I think they will approve you. If you are just missing one year, and you had a BMI of 40 or more the year prior, chances are they will assume you didn't loose a drastic amount of weight within one year to drop your BMI and then gain it all back within the same year to get back to the BMI of 40 or more. I think you'll be ok! Call your doc, they probably deal with this kind of thing all the time and will tell you what they think! Good luck!!!

You still have evidence of 4 other years where most of them ran consecutive.....let us know the results!
