BillOh 13 Posted May 15, 2009 I'm sure looking forward to it. This time last year I couldn't run 100 yards. I did a 5k distance in prep Wednesday at 32 minutes. It has been so worth it.
bklyn1984 0 Posted May 15, 2009 Have a great time! My 1st 5K is on Sunday and while I was training to run my orthopedic has stopped that because I may have a stress fracture or a lateral meniscus tear. So I will be walking it. Funny enough my walking time was faster than my running time so maybe it worked out for the best. It does not matter though because I plan on finishing it and having a great time. Look forward to your update on how it went! :grouphug:
jlray 0 Posted May 16, 2009 Awesome! My mom, who is now obese, ran 2 marathons in her late teen years. I've always been fascinated that she was able to run SO FAR! Hopefully one day I'll know what it feels like to run freely without the extra 100+ pounds. Congrats on all your success n good luck!
