Dr. Robert Pinnar - LOVE Dr. Pinnar's Office

Recommended Posts

I was scheduled to go to a seminar with Dr. Pinnar on the 23rd of this month, but his office is SO FAR from me. I live in Waldorf. So I found Dr. Brian Long at Sibley in N.W., and I am going to a seminar at Sibley on Saturday. I am glad to hear more good things about Dr. Pinnar and I will keep my options open and see how I feel about Dr. Long after Saturday. Good Luck to you!

I absolutely ADORE Dr. ROBERT Pinnar's office! Paul is the first doc I have ever looked forward to see to get stuck by a needle.

Sue is also great and full of fantastic information, and Shara greets you with a smile.

I would highly recommend them for your WLS consideration!

I was banded May 8th with Dr Pinnar and Paul. I just love them and their whole staff.

Happyme2009, for me Dr Pinnars office is a hike also (about 25 miles) I live in Kingstowne. but I did MUCH research on Lapband doctors and I decided that for me, I will travel to Dr Pinnars office reguardless of the miles. And I have not regretted once. Good luck with which ever doctor you choose, in the end its about getting healthy and we are:)

For anyone deciding on a doctor, go to the lapband website and check out their experience and qualifications. You cant go wrong with Robert Pinnar and his staff.

I TOTALLY agree! I LOVE this office and all the people who work there. They make getting stuck with a needle fun!! I feel like I am going to see members of my family when I arrive! I just could not be more pleased! THIS is the place to get your life back through weight loss!

I wish some who are cnsidering would write me privately, because I really do not want to post my experence there publicly...and let me know what stage you are at, etc.

I was banded by Dr. Robert Pinnar's son, Eric. He left his father's office and let me tell you, because of Sue and Paul, I transferred myself to Dr. Robert's office. After you are banded you don't see the surgeon that much, but the support staff is phenomenal! Paul does the fills and Sue is in the office for your check-ups/weigh in. I love them both more than I can even say!

I live in Dale City, VA (about 40 miles each way) and would travel twice as far to Reston to see Paul and Sue. The office is excellent and well worth the drive.

NOTE: I am not knocking Dr. Robert Pinnar, he's amazing as well! :-)

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
