Poor circulation anyone?

Recommended Posts

For the last 2 days I have been having tingling sensations and very annoying discomfort in my hands and feet..feels better when i'm active or stretch my hands tight or wear gloves. This may not at all be due to surgery but if so i would like to know before i go see a doctor and waste mine and their time. Have an appt. this morning:confused:

when was your surgery?

it could actually be a Vitamin deficiency

are you taking a good multi per your doc's orders?

Tingling in the hands and feet can be caused by diabetes. Tingling in the hands can be carpal tunnel syndrome and in the feet it is tarsal tunnel syndrome. It's not a waste of time to address your problems and let the doctor decide whether it could be related to the surgery or not.

I take a great multi and was still low in thiamine and Vitamin D so please realize just taking a Vitamin doesn't mean everthing is ok. Ask your doc if it could be related to a B vitamin deficiency or some other (or better yet ask your nutritionist) If it is just post surgery the odds are it's related to the diet you're on (and I don't mean a "diet" but how you're eating and hydrating)

If it's neuro (nerves) an xray probably won't show anything. Get the nutritionist involved.

Well they took x rays and I was diagnos with bone spurs on my neck yuck.. so it's not related to my diet or surgery. The medication I have to take increases my appetite. I don't know how to deal with this. I have been doing pretty good. Banded on 4/8/09 and lost 14.5 lbs so far. Any suggestions. Last night I was so hungry not use to that.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
