Extra skin after weight loss?

Recommended Posts

I know once someone is banded they lose weight at a different rate and the elacsticity of the skin is different. However, I wanted to know from the people who have been banded and who are in their twenties or younger, if their skin bounced back after the weight loss or do they have problems with extra skin?

Im young, have good genes, I exercise, and I have follwed an intense moisturizing regime for 16 years. But I still have excess skin. I do believe the degree is less than what I would have if I were an RNYer or older, but there is no denying that I have it.

Honestly, some extra skin is a given, even for young bandsters. The amount depends mainly on genes, body type, and amount of weight lost.

For me, there has been a fair amount of "bounce back" but I still have some batwinging, saggy boobs, and loose thighs. But I have a firm round bum, no sagging there (thanx Mom). Ill take a little loose skin over my bulging preband firm skin anyday.

Browse the Plastics board and you will see bandsters of all ages having extra skin removed.
