magaines 0 Posted May 12, 2009 Is there anyone that can tell me where and what the pain is when you are too tight? Lately I have been having pains after I eat. They start around my lower left back and wraps part way around to the front. It doesn't matter what or when I eat. It has gotten worse over time. Shortly after eating it starts and hurts like HELL:scared2:. If I can make it come back up then I am fine. Last night I wasn't even able to eat yogurt. I have been to my primary doc and have had several tests done but they find nothing, and say the band is in good position.
ParrotheadCathy 0 Posted May 12, 2009 Too tight isn't so much a pain as it is the inability to swallow much of anything, including your own spit. Sounds more like "stuck" to me. Are you eating too fast and don't realize it? That's what gets me in trouble. And I can do it with liquids if I take big swallows/gulps. But I'm definitely not too tight. I was too tight with my first fill and it felt like a rock in my chest and I couldn't even swallow my own spit. They removed some saline and while they were doing it, it felt like the rock melted. Such a weird feeling. Too tight but not as tight as that may cause a night cough and gastroesophagel reflux.
Gus-Gus 0 Posted May 12, 2009 I have been too tight twice now and had to have an unfill. Of course immediately afterward I end up too loose. I am still working things out. It sounds like your not chewing enough and getting stuck. Too tight is when you can't hold down any liquids including Water. Not holding down yogurt after you've gotten what is stuck out could be some swelling. When you have something come back up, stick to liquids for a meal or two to give your stomach a chance to recuperate. And chew chew chew. Good luck.
