anyone really struggle in the beginning

but have great success in the long-run? I am almost four weeks post op and ever since I have had the green light to eat solids I have really been struggling to stay on task. SO..........this has created so many self-destructive thoughts such as "this isn't going to work". I know that people refer to banster hell alot and I imagine I am there. I am hoping to hear from someone who struggled in the beginning but was able to turn it around and has had great success.

The early times are for healing. If you lose fine, but that's not the point. Many don't start losing until they get adequate fills that 1 cup of food will fill them up and keep them full for up to 5-6 hours. You are expecting way too much and being way too hard on yourself.

Yes, you are SO in bandster hell. When is your first fill? That's the first step toward what you are expecting from this process. First fill doesn't equal sweet spot, but it's a start. Focus on eating lean meals, Protein first (and at least 20 grams of protein in a meal). If you can't go 4 hours without eating, snack on .... you guessed it ... PROTEIN. Why? Protein takes longer to digest than anything else you can eat, so it makes you feel full longer. This gets better, I promise.

      Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
      What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
