MrsMad 0 Posted May 14, 2009 I am supposed to be on mushies . . . my band date was 28 April 09. This week I had cheesecake at a work luncheon. Then last night I had several bites of a steak, veggies and a chicken bite. I feel so guilty that I ate the food!! I am so hungry and I am only a little over 2 weeks POST OP. Do you think I will mess up my band by progressing my diet?? I am able to stand food. And even though I cheated I did not eat a large amount of anything. My first fill is May 28th. Any input you can provide is greatly appreciated. Thanks and congrats on everyones progress!!
lingling 0 Posted May 14, 2009 I am having my third fill tomorrow - I weighed in this morning and have put on 800g this week (1lb) I am eating the wrong food because I am hungry and I am eating too much. I am tricking myself that because it is "small quantities" I can eat bad food. WRONG. Maybe occassionally but I have rationalised this into every day. Looking forward to my fill tomorrow - and am going to make a big effort to eat my healthy Breakfast and healthy lunch rather than seeing if I can go without as not that hungry - and then starving at tea time and making bad choices. I guess this is all about working out how this band works and how we can work with it - and we will get there - as long as we are honest with ourselves - as you can't change what you don't acknowledge!!! hehe! terelbel 0 Posted May 14, 2009 lingling, you were Banded in April '09 and already going for your 3rd fill? Did i get this wrong?
lingling 0 Posted May 15, 2009 Hey Yep, third fill tomorrow. Doc has open door policy - because it takes a few fills usually to get to the sweet spot you can just keep going back as often as you want - within reason (eg. you can't go three times in one week but you can go each week) until you have a good restriction. Thank god, I cannot wait. I am chowing down like I used to... boooo.
KMCD 0 Posted May 15, 2009 OMG!!! I totally owe Raelita an apology!!!!! I am WAY TOO serious!!! What an idiot! I DID misread your post!!! Anyway, after I read wannabe's post I got this picture of Alex from Madagascar biting the zebra on the butt and I busted out laughing. God, I hope you guys know which movie I'm talking about. Anyway, sorry Raelita, you go girl, hang on to your humor and never mind the crazy post I put up! I just feel like I have to defend us all. I guess it came from my mom announcing in front of a group of people "should you be having a half glass of wine? The paperwork said you shouldn't drink!" I was furious and embarrassed. But, I knew it would happen. She apologized afterward, but it was too late. It was a celebration, I had half a glass of wine. I am eating healthier. Having the band didn't mean that I could NEVER have certain things again. Ok, I'll stop ranting. And I promise NEVER to get too serious again! Please remind me if I do...mea culpa... LMAO! This was good, Raelita! Licking a pork chop....you are hilarious! Hey, at least you didn't BITE it! I too have been on Clear Liquids for 11 days. Believe it or not, I still have no appetite, and am feeling no hunger, but I am feeling this NEED to chew on something. Last night, I was tired and crabby, and when I made my last Protein shake in the blender, I tossed in 8 chocolate chips. Don't know why....certainly didn't give me any chewing satisfaction or any other kind for that matter....but I figure if that's the worst thing I've done post-op, I'm okay. Happy Birthday, JayTee!!
