Danimal 0 Posted May 10, 2009 Actually it was a compliment. It finally happened this week. Twice I was told my clothes looks terrible hanging off of me. OK, I get the hint, maybe it's time to buy a new size. My current pants used to be so tight I had difficulty getting them buttoned but I refused to go up another size. Now I'm the opposite direction with them hanging off of me. Problem is, last year I had decided I was just going to be big for the rest of my life and donated all of my smaller clothes to charity. My wife says she's going to clean out my closet of all of these big clothes and do the same thing. I may have little to choose from. Banding isn't until tomorrow May 11, but I've been a trooper on my weight loss once I decided to get banded. My past problem was I just could never maintain. I hope this goes well and helps control me better.
JosieK 120 Posted May 10, 2009 hi danimal, isnt that a good problem? i love when that happens one mistake i made.... my history was that i would lose a little weight and stay in the new size forever. i went out and bought a complete wardrobe when i went from size 24 to 18. well i flew through size 18. i then did the same thing when i went into size 12....flew through that too. so i couldve saved alot of money if i had just waited good luck on your surgery tomorrow i am having plastic surgery tomorrow so we will be "under" at the same time
CyndiMomto3 0 Posted May 10, 2009 That's awesome! I can't wait until I have the same problem! And to josiebies, good luck with your plastic surgery tomorrow! Is your insurance paying for any of it?
Mimilou2004 13 Posted May 10, 2009 Josiebies and Danimal...I have given this a lot of thought and I now think it is important to keep up with your wt loss by buying smaller clothes. It makes the self image adjustment realer sooner and when you have to go shopping trying on so many things it forces you to look at your body and acknowledge the changes. Josiebies, good luck on your surgery, hope to hear from you soon after. Mimi
Venus de Milo 0 Posted May 12, 2009 In Texas, we have GoodWill Stores, and they're great! They sell second-hand clothing and "rejects" from stores like T. J. Maxx, Goody's, etc. I already shop at GoodWill because I resent these size 18 clothes!!! I definitely plan to shop there for all my intermediate sizes. I'll go back to Dillard's and Gap and such when I get into those size 10's!!!!!
