mcinmd 0 Posted September 7, 2005 I had gastric bypass 12 yrs ago and I'm looking for more restriction as I have gained some weight back. Not many surgeons do revisions like this, but Dr. Acevedos in Mexicali, MX can perform the band over bypass surgery. Has anyone has this done and if so, are you happy with the results? La_madam 20 Posted September 7, 2005 I know for certain Dr. Ortiz has done many many band over bypass patients. he is in TJ, there are a few members over at www.lapbandforum.com who Dr. Ortiz has preformed the band over bypass on. Jessiebear 2 Posted September 19, 2005 My mind was wandering today & I realized that I had met someone whowas banded over her GBP. It was about 3 years ago. I was working in the hospital & she was my patient. She had gained a lot of weight back from her bypass & her doc recommended the band & she was doing great with it. I'm sorry, but I can't remember her name. I thought you might like to know about her though. That was actually the first time I had heard about the band. She had it done in Dallas. I'm sorry that's all I can remember. I can't believe I forgot about her! She was a psychic & I didn't know it & when I touched her to do a dressing change she went stiff as a board & proceeded to give me a reading. Made every hair on my body stand up! Anyway! piercedqt78 658 Posted September 20, 2005 There is also a dotor in New York that does band over bypass. I can't remember his name but Don Mills from Inamed mentioned him to me once. Give Don a call he is the sales ad. manager for the company that produces the band 1-800-624-4261 ext 5765.
