HotLikeHer 0 Posted September 6, 2005 Well it is 1 week today post op... I am doing pretty good,,, Since 8/16 when I started the Optifast I have gone from 226.5 to 210.5 by my scale.. 8 of those are post "hitchhiker",,, Sometimes I am soooo hungry- I guess in my head, but If I get enough Water in I am pretty good feeling... I started getting nausea spells Saturday morning... I Gag and try "not on Purpose" to throw up the chewable pre-natal Vitamins... It is soo hard taking them.. I have kept pretty busy too, been doing house work, laundry, cleaning my daughters room, going through all of her clothes, she is 6 and had a major growth spurt, so tall and only weighs 45 lbs.. People kid me and tell me I dont feed her.... took her to the park with HotLikeMe and her kids... Went to her daughters Birthday party, went in the pool for a little bit...Man it was rough they had hamburgers there and Hotdogs, etc... But I took my big jug of Crystal light, and drooled while my Hunny ate his burgers and hot dogs,,,, and french fries baked... Yes its hard but seeing the "Bonus" pounds come off is great while I am healing.... I can see a difference in my face already, just a lil bit....
NJChick 3 Posted September 7, 2005 GOOD JOB !! I'm glad your feeling pretty good. Thats always encouraging Those Vitamins sound horrible. My doctor recommends childrens Vitamins, I'm not sure of the dosage but I think he said you can eat at least 2. Call your doctor up and ask. Vitamins are known for tasting horrible, I can only imagine ICK ICK ICK!!! CONGRATULATIONS !!!
vinesqueen 2 Posted September 7, 2005 Congrats and welcome to the banded gentry! I think all the chewable multi-vits are ICK but I manage with the viactiv multis & Calcium. Less ick. Excellent! one week out and you are go-go-go! Now that's what I like to see! Remember to be kind to yourself in the next few weeks when you are feeling tired and dont understand. You've just been through a major surgery, and need to be kind. Excelent work!
