RestlessMonkey 7 Posted May 7, 2009 What the doctor prescribes for you, and tylenol for when you don't need the prescription stuff.
ParrotheadCathy 0 Posted May 7, 2009 Your doc will prescribe a pain medication, be it liquid Lortabs, hydrocodone or oxycodone, I never needed any pain meds, not even liquid Tylenol. Don't let yourself get stiff from staying still too long, move around. Most of us were given prescriptions for pain and for nausea before surgery so we could fill them and have them on hand. Don't be afraid to ask if they aren't offered.
RestlessMonkey 7 Posted May 7, 2009 Your doc may prescribe something other than liquid lortab, oxycodone, or hydrocone; mine did! If you are allergic or have a preference, just ask; but otherwise each surgeon usually knows what works best for his/her clientele.
Jul 0 Posted May 8, 2009 My doctor prescribed tylenol with codien. Just make sure you DO NOT take Ibuprophen, motrin, advil, any "anti inflammatory" drugs because they can possibly cause the band to erode into your stomach. I don't know how often that has happened, but it's better to be safe.
