OMG! I can only type with one hand because I am laughing so hard my eyes are watering. I have a Kleenex to stem the tide... I feel like my retinas are burning from just the thought of one of those little skirts with no matching drawers...SCARY!!

Thanks for being my Rah Rah Girl, anyway, Eileen.

I am actually in Dallas, Texas. Eileen started this chat and invited everyone - so here I am.

Hi all, I have nothing interesting to report.

I bought new sweat pants today at Target because they were on sale for $5.00. It was nice to not have to pay extra for the XX sizes.

What do you do with yourself during the day, Ira? I notice that you tend to lurk in the evening... Give us something more scintillating than sweat pants, Darlin'. (but, yes, isn't it just that exciting to get a cheap deal?)

:]

Well, this weekend I have to make the sojourn to Sam's Club. I am almost out of sweetener - and Sam's sells it in BIG boxes for cheaps. Yep - that's almost as thrilling as sweat pants, huh? Let's see - wild sex will probably be on the agenda, too. Think "Mexican Hat Dance" with something besides a hat. Nudge, Nudge. Wink, Wink.

Of course, next weekend I head out for Burbank. That will be different, at least. I probably won't be able to hang out on the boards all day, as I will have actual work to do while I am there. I guess I can try to find out what kind of fabulous activities will be taking place during that week and actually DO something in my off hours. Hmmmmn. Maybe I will post a thread in the lounge for suggestions from the folks in SoCal.

Anyway, that is all the excitement in my life for today, except for the storm build-up from Hurricane Irene, there isn't much going on.

I have off from work tomorrow. I think we will go to Walmart and buy some light bulbs.

Sunday we are going to a local production of Urinetown and then to dinner for our anniversary. I am really looking forward to Walmart, it is one of my favorite stores.

Ira, have you ever been to the Walmart in Monroe, by the Woodbury Commons? if not, you really need to venture up there one day, its a super walmart and really cool !! Have fun shopping.

Beanie babe, whats shakin? How are things in Texas? Its a beautiful crisp cold morning in Jersey, woke up to 40 degrees. Had to dress the little one in sweats, socks and a coat lol, she was like eeeeeeeew it itches it itches LOL. Me, I ran out in jeans and a tshirt :D well what do you expect with all this padding?

Nothing new today, same old do do. I'm gonna call my doc and get some meds to get rid of this cold, I'm afraid it will effect my surgery in 3 weeks EGADS!!!

Other than that, I'm really in the mood for some home made sweet potato burritos...anyone wanna make me one?

Well - let's see. The engine light is on in my car AGAIN. I am very much afraid that a new car (plus the resulting new car payments) looms in my somewhat immediate future. ^&%$! I am hoping for a Management position and that would include a higher salary base - but a car payment would suck up any benefit from that... and I don't know WHAT I will do if I don't get it...

But, I guess if I don't have to drop $500-$600 at the garage every couple of months, I could afford a car pmt... **sigh**

Other than dealing with the car and the exciting trip to Sams - I haven't got anything on the agenda.

I must confess that while I work toward getting the band, I am NOT currently practising the lifestyle... I guess it's my own little form of an extended Farewell to Food... I have eaten everything and anything that came my way. Is that bad??

Sweet Potato Burritos? Que?? Let's talk about chicken quesadillas...

:]

Eileen, If you ever want any company at woodbury Commons, let me know, I LOVE to shop there. I had an adjustment on Thursday it went well, was down 86 then and as of this morning I am down a whopping 90! My original goal was to be down 80 by new years, so I have adjusted it to be down by 100 by new years thats just 3 1/2 lbs a month for the next 3 months I think I can and will do it! :(

This band is the best thing ever I wish you all luck with yours.

Hello !!

I tried to get in here this morning but there must have been something wrong with the site.

Beanie hopefully the car won't cost to much. Payments do suck. What? you don't like sweetpotatoes. Well if you do, trust me you'll like them in a burrito. Oh BTW, I'm not practicing either.

Alexra WHOLEY CRAP BATMAN !!! 90 BIG FAT FREAKIN POUNDS !! THats awesome, really awesome. I'm very happy for you. *BRAVO*

I still have a really bad cold. My cough is so bad that I feel like I popped a kidney. And I dread that this will postpone my surgery in 3 weeks. I went to the doctor yesterday for some better antibiotics and some nose spray. I'm coughing so incrediably hard every few seconds I just feel like I'm hurting my lungs.. I would rather postpone the surgery than to take a chance but we'll see what the doctor says.

Lets see, today we went apple picking (((tomorrow apple pies, oh yeah))) up at Maskers Orchards. THen I took a nap :( after that I decorated the outside with halloweenie stuff, gosh it looks cute. I'll try to get a picture and post it. Did the dreaded food shopping but didn't get to clean the house... any volunteers?

Tomorrow is church and a birthday party.

Whats happening with you all ?

Beanie, when do you go to CA ?

Capital idea, Ira. Go for it.

Eileen - I hope you feel better. For me, the cough always gets worse toward the end - so maybe you are getting close. I leave for Cali NEXT sunday - Oct 13th.

Alexra - 90 LBS!!!!! I am sooo green with envy.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
