jqpublic 1 Posted September 5, 2005 This may sound funny to you. But I walked around my home town with no shirt on!!! Being over weight for so many years has caused me to be very self cautious....... I think I only took my shirt off in front of my in laws 1 time in ten years and that was three weeks ago.of being married never going to the pool or any where I was totaly in ( PRISON WITH MY OWN WEIGHT) and if there was one time I had my shirt off in my own yard I"d run if some pulled into my drive way. Its so funny that we are in prison with are weight and how it holds us back from playing with are kidds. Going to the admusement parks or just going out to eat and you can't fit inside the booth. It was such a hugh reward to walk around and not have to worry if Id run into my friends,I went looking for them...Just to show them my new hot body, ( hehe) please check back in later tonight and my new pitcher will be posted! I just walked and walked. Praise the Lord. Please share any stories with me,So I no that I am not the only person who felt this way! But most of all God bless you. And I, hope that you are all meeting your weight loss goals.
NJChick 3 Posted September 6, 2005 Great NSV John. I never walk around with out my shirt either, can't blame you lolol I can totally relate, I don't even wear shorts b/c of my jiggly legs. I would sooner sweat like a pig than wear shorts or any shirt that show's my arms. I'm glad you are where you are today and mostly that you are mentally feeling on cloud 9. Yesterday DH, DD and I went to a little dinner. This one old woman stared me up and down and watched my every move squeezing into the booth. I said to my DH... oh wonderful, wicked witch of the east is sizing me up. I couldn't even enjoy my meal b/c I felt scrutney in the other booth. I just wish people would mind their own business for crying out loud. You are NOT the only person who feels like this. CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU !!!!
paula 4 Posted September 6, 2005 That is awesome, John! And you are so right regarding the kids benefiting from it as well. This afternoon I rode my 9yr olds bike. We had such simple fun - he even stood on the foot pegs and we BOTH went for a ride. This is living - what life is all about.
RayLandry 18 Posted September 8, 2005 I can't count the number of parties and other events that I've avoided due to the fact that I don't like to dress up. Most overweight people don't. My awesome little wife, who is the life of any party, has stood by me and sat out the parties too. Well, I owe her the good times of life! LET THE GOOD TIMES ROLL!
