when did you lose clothes sizes not just lbs.?

It happens to everyone differently but what I noticed was that even when I was not losing weight I was dropping inches around my waist. I could tell because I kept having to tighten my belt.

i think it's diffrent for each person, i lost weight a few years ago and it took around 20/25lbs until i droped a clothing size. since surgery i have lost 4 pants sizes in just under 4 months. started out 28's and i'm a solid now. my stomach is moving much slower however so the tops haven't moved so much went from 26/28's to 22/24's.

I lost faster on top than on bottom too. Like I need to lose any up there!!! Rather it be from my butt. It actually sucks to have to buy SMALLER bras. I'm in shirts 3 sizes smaller, and pants only 2 sizes smaller. At least its all smaller, rather than larger I guess.

I'm 5'7" and started @ 254lbs. It wasn't until I lost 25lbs before I went down a size (fully). That said, I believe plus sized clothing has a lot more stretch or "moving room" if you will than smaller clothes. Because I could fit into a size 20 pant when I was 240 all the way up to 260. Now size 18 pants (which was my first goal) are getting big on me  but 16's are still a bit snug. However, I am fully into a size (REGULAR baby) XL in all tops which I just can't believe!

I'm 40 lbs down, and just now my suits (knit suits from St. John . . very forgiving if you gain or lose weight) are starting to get too big.

It's funny -- the shoulders are too big now (among other parts). I didn't realize that my shoulders would get smaller! It did take me a long time to go down the first size though, but now it seems to be going faster. I think what Jacqui posted makes sense (distance between sizes is fewer pounds as you get into smaller sizes).

I just bought a size 16 dress to wear to an event and (yay!) it's just a little bit too big. My size 20 pants are huge on me now (I posted photos on my blog recently), which was surprising to me. I see the changes so gradually that it's a real shocker (in a wonderful way) to try on something that used to be tight and see that I'm swimming in it!

Happy Cinco de Mayo!

Catherine

I'm 5'11'' and it took me almost 50lbs until I had to change my clothing size. But with that being said I know I was wearing clothes to tight for me when I started, so probably wouldn't of taken me so long if that was not the case. I don't get the comment that I look smaller, everyone keeps telling me I look taller! Go figure, at 5'11'' that is the one thing I didn't want to hear......lol

Jean sizes moved fastest for me and I wasted money. I started at a tight 18 and just this week got to a size 11. I started at a 3X top and now wear an XL and still some 1X. I have problems with tops due to a breast lift 7 yrs ago and a Dr who got carried away with the necessary implants!! Good news is I did go down 1 bra size and shopped with excitement for those over the weekend after being measured!!!
