mrmrslamb 0 Posted May 3, 2009 Hi, i'm new to lapbandtalk but i am learing much more here than the other:tt2: talk groups i've been apart of. I should be banded in October. I have to go through 6 months of crap for my insurance. i've had several meetings with my surgical team and nutricianist. They inform me the ultimate goal after banding is 3 meals a day, no Snacks. Is that realistic?? I see alot of bandsters are eating atleast 1 snack per day, some two. Thanks.:blink::blink::blink::blink::blink::blink::blink::blink:
silvers320 12 Posted May 3, 2009 Many on here subscribe to the 3 plans a day and nothing else school of thought. That didn't work for me. Not snacking led me to eat to quickly - which would result in getting sick. I discussed with DR who said it happens - try adding Snacks. So these days I eat on avg 5 times a day. josephine 1 Posted May 3, 2009 (edited) mrmrslamb, Rule of thumb is 3 meals a day. Try to remember it is a new style of living now. If you are diabetic then I would assume you should eat 4 to 5 times a day but you should really cut your 3 meals into the 4 to 5 meals. I would think otherwise a person wouldn't teach themselves the feeling of fullness with less food. I would think that a person would begin to feel hungry throughout the day. Take time out and learn on a daily basis the new way of life we must live and believe me it won't be too hard once your stomach begins to shrink.
