KatsenD 0 Posted April 30, 2009 Well, first off, I am so thankful that I had the band done. I'm 40 pounds down in just the last year. YEA!!!!!!!!! But today I returned to the doctor for a fill but instead go a talk from the Nurse Practionary. I have only lost .2 0z in the last 4 months. Well, like I told her, I was doing great, alone, till the end of March. Let me run it down like this: March 29 - Brother in Texas hospital diagnoised with Cancer March 31 - headed to Texas to see brother- family drama with daughter of another brother, who died in 2007 of cancer. April 12 - 15 year old friend of family lost his battle with cancer. April 12 - our first granddaughter was born. She is beautiful!!!. April 22 - I started my medical eval's to get checked for cancer. April 25 - Family friends wife diagnoised with breast cancer. Went today and well, they asked me to keep a food diary for the next month, to show what I am eating. I said ok. I'm willing to do whatever it takes to keep this weight coming off. I told doctor last May, that I would give him 3 years to loose all the weight and I will. Right now, I'm overstressed and food is great. But I have to get control of the situation, so I start over. Sorry to vent, but it really feels good to just put it out there. I know nothing surprises you all and I'm sure you have heard it all. I am still so greatful that I found this site. Have a wonderful day. D'
Vicki J 0 Posted April 30, 2009 Yep, we've heard it all. At least you know from where the problem comes. Admitting that is the biggest part of the battle. My hat is off to you for that. You're doing the right thing in getting back to journaling. It gives you some prospective on things and if you decide you need to munch you can see what you can have. Sometimes that 100 calorie bag of popcorn is just the ticket. Sometimes it takes something else. If you plan for it, you can get away with a lot. My prayers are with you in your journey. OH Juli 15 Posted April 30, 2009 Keeping a food journal will give you some insights you can work with and adjust. Sorry to hear your family is struggling. (Good to hear about the grand daughter). You'll get it together. Good luck.
sandyswhisper 0 Posted April 30, 2009 Would an adjustment help at this time? Besides the journal? I'm a new bander...just curious what people think.
