Lynn B 0 Posted September 5, 2005 Hi, congrats on taking the first step. You can click on the link in my profile for Dr. Jones at BIDMC. Their program is excellent! I am being banded in one week, I started this process on June 28th and had my gallbladder removed 2.5 weeks ago by the same doctor. I can not say enough good things about the team there. Good luck - if you have any questions please feel free to email me.

bandayed 0 Posted September 24, 2005 Hi I am at BIDMC too -- Dr Scneider. The whole program is great, I started in July and am meeting the surgeon on Oct 6th to get a date. If you got to BIDMC web site you can get alot of info about the program -- good luck! I hope to be banded in Nov/Dec. I think the program generally takes about 3 months to complete depending on how flexible your schedule is.....................
Guest stardust Posted October 1, 2005 Hi My surgeon is Dr. Vernon with Brigham and Women's. She's really nice and the program is pretty easy to go through.

Lynn B 0 Posted October 3, 2005 Congrats!! Which doctor did you choose? I know they are all good but I am partial to Dr. Jones (well of course - he did my gallbladder and band) Good luck,

Lynn B 0 Posted October 4, 2005 Have you gone to the info meeting yet? I believe they start at 6pm on the first and 3rd thursday of every month (check their web page for confirmation). It is a great way to meet and get a feel for the doctors (it is also part of the program requirement). Good luck,
nurse4126 19 Posted October 4, 2005 I too go to BIDMC. I was banded by Dr. Schneider on August 3rd of this year. I got nothing but wonderful care when I was in the hospital - I ended up staying for 2 nights because my urine output wasn't enough. I just got my first fill last Thursday, and it was a piece of cake! No, wait...I am not supposed to eat cake... Anyway, like I said, the care and support that I have received at BIDMC has been awesome. PS- I am a nurse too, so I am really picky about my care.
