myturn2bhappy 0 Posted May 4, 2009 Still haven't made it to the gym. But I have been walking 1 mile each way from work/train. Plus did a bunch of yardwork this weekend. I'm paying the proce today with a very sore knee. I pray losing weight helps with arthritis. I like being active.

1980 0 Posted May 7, 2009 I am trying to walk everyday for 30 minutes and start doing light strength training by Monday. I had surgery on 4/30 and have lost 9lbs in 7 days! I tried to create the below ticker, but I am not sure if I did it right...
Band_Groupie 3 Posted May 12, 2009 Up until now, not much except some walking. I started working in the yard this weekend and overdid it a little (it's hard to bend to weed, plant, etc. with the port area still swollen...I'm afraid of flipping it). Today is my post-op appt. so I should be cleared for the treadmill and starting to workout on my new Wii Fit.
ALuv82 0 Posted May 15, 2009 Had my 2 week post op appt on Tues and the doc gave me the go ahead to return to the gym. He told me very light lifting only and I could do cardio but not to use any incline/resistance. I went straight from my doc's to the gym and did 60 mins on the elipiitcal on resitance/incline 1/1. Went again today. Didn't go Wed or Thurs since I worked 12 hour days and I have a job that keeps me on my feet all the time. I'm definitely happy to be back at the gym. I missed it there.
