BethFromVA 5 Posted May 4, 2009 I mean how could someone be in public office for as many years as he has and still be so CLUELESS???? Is that a redundant question?

Jennyt71 0 Posted May 4, 2009 The pig farmers are up in arms because sales are down, but all I want is bacon. So I think we have to call it HZ 1200- JTW - PIG FLU. Figure as Americans we would lose interest long before we get to Pig Flu.I was fine until someone let that moron Joe Biden in front of microphone. "Don't go on the subways" Really???? So we should all sit in our plastic bubbles and wait to die. I mean how could someone be in public office for as many years as he has and still be so CLUELESS???? LOL - too funny! I completely agree with you on Joe Biden! I'll be daring this week - heading out to the Offshore Technology Conference on Wednesday...in a crowd of thousands..with NO surgical mask! We have had several schools close here because they THINK one person MAY have the pig flu..not because its been confirmed..but a kids got sick. These schools are closing for 2 weeks. I dont have any kids - but what do the parents do for those 2 weeks??

WASaBubbleButt 41 Posted May 11, 2009 I've heard speculation, the putsch is to demonstrate the advantages of "world health cooperation"...*kaff*kaff* The notion we should call it something other than the source name, as all such incidents have been labeled for at least a hundred years, has not been explained as far as I have heard. And the 'close the barn door after the horse is gone' doesn't take into consideration the OTHER infected horses.... nor does it account for what Mexico is doing (canceling all public events) while Europe cancels air travel, etc. I was in on close study of the 1976 Swine Flu Hoax. The facts in THIS incident do not add up right IMHO for epidemiology that was taught to me years ago. Maybe protocols have changed. It smells of politics more than science IMHO. Completely agree. As of this morning, the end of the "epidemic," 48 deaths in MX. Our own influenza EVERY SINGLE YEAR produces many many many thousands of deaths. Dr. Oz puts the number at 36,000. Who really has the epidemic here, the US version of the flu or the MX version? It's interesting to note the following.... We all know how seriously corrupt the MX gov't is. We know they will do damn near anything for a buck. Isn't it intriguing how they are collecting millions upon millions of dollars in aid from countries (including the US) due to the swine flu? What do you suppose the MX gov't will do with all this money? Again, their flu kills 48 people, our flu kills 36,000. Yet we are sending them money in aid because it's so severe. And our own media has gone nuts over this, far more media coverage than our own flu which appears to be about 750x worse.
BethFromVA 5 Posted May 11, 2009 I agree, Wasa. Let's not also forget how our government recently admitted that they should never waste a good crisis. Nowadays I believe they try to create crises through fear mongering in order to control people even more.

It didn't strike me as the gov't doing it, it was Obama that came out early on and told people to relax, it is not as reported. It was the media. I don't know, maybe not that bush is gone they don't have much to report. ;o)

Yes, Obama did come out afterward to say it wasn't as bad as once thought, but I was very broad when I said "government" said we should never waste a good crisis. In actuality it was Hillary Clinton and Rahm Emanuel. However, I do see that government hypes things up like Henny Penny screaming, "The sky is falling!" No, Obama did come out pretty early on saying this was media hype and fear. He was responding to the BS of the media and he was right. Hillary... gahhhh... I still agree with the citizens of Mexico, it was all about the dollars in aid from other countries and we fell for it. But then we always do.
plain 12 Posted May 12, 2009 I still agree with the citizens of Mexico, it was all about the dollars in aid from other countries and we fell for it. But then we always do. Well, if we're not going to secure our border, then we'd better be making our newest citizens happy / comfy, right?
WASaBubbleButt 41 Posted May 12, 2009 Well, if we're not going to secure our border, then we'd better be making our newest citizens happy / comfy, right? No, we really aren't doing that. There are about 7-8 people in MX that control the country and keep the dollars. Tax dollars, donations, etc. The poor never see it, the rich get a LOT more. That's why they continue controlling the entire country while the people suffer.
plain 12 Posted May 12, 2009 Yup. It's an interesting question: Why has Mexico not really been able to develop much of a middle class, with all their natural resources?
WASaBubbleButt 41 Posted May 12, 2009 Yup. It's an interesting question: Why has Mexico not really been able to develop much of a middle class, with all their natural resources? I think the gov't keeps things just the way they want them. It drives the poor to come here and send money back to MX and it goes to the main 7-8 people in the end. BethFromVA 5 Posted May 12, 2009 Yup. It's an interesting question: Why has Mexico not really been able to develop much of a middle class, with all their natural resources? Because the country is run by thugs and mafioso-types. There is no reason Mexico shouldn't be wealthy in its own right. Until the people of that country decide to overtake IT instead of the US, we will continue to be brought down and the American dollars returned to Mexico will continue to make the rich richer.
