Stuck and Frustrated!!!!

Recommended Posts

I have been stuck at the same weight for the past 3-4 weeks. I will lose a pound gain it back. gain a pound lose it again....

i had my second fill on tuesday. I have the 9 cc realize band. I had 3 cc on the first fill and 1 cc on the second fill. i have been really concentrating on the diet, so i dont know why im not losing.

i guess i do need to add more exercise--i moved from Florida up north to Indiana. I used to exercise outside a lot, but since the weather is unpredictable here i have cut back on my exercising :)

i just need some encouragement and any advice to get me through this plateau!!!!!

any one else in the same boat?

ive been in that boat BEFORE i got my band..ive only been banded 3 days, but I can say it's not supposed to be easy, nor is it supposed to be extremely hard...we have to start all over...continue to increase exercise gradually and really take a look at what you're eating..if your diet is perfect, then focus on your exercise..if nothing happens after changes are made discuss it with your physician...every problem has a solution! hang in there!

I was banded on 3/9 and I am so sick of the 8 or so lbs that won't come off so that I am under 200. I can get down to 204 and creep right back up. I thought it was carbs, but I really don't have that much. I think if these will go my life would be great.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
