irishgal 0 Posted April 23, 2009 Lately I've been getting cravings for sweets after lunch or after dinner. A creamy or chocolate treat just seem to be calling my name. How do you handle your cravings? I've tried chewing sugarfree gum or eating a piece of sugarfree candy. Do you have any suggestions or strategies for curbing the cravings? Any/all suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thank you
rcruz 0 Posted April 23, 2009 I will be flamed, but here goes: I satisfy it, sorry but on occasion I do have that oreo cookie.
irishgal 0 Posted April 23, 2009 Love your name slinderella2b  Thanks for sharing your strategy. Hey, if it works for you, it works. If I had Oreo Cookies in my house I know that I would not be able to stop at just one. I'd separate the cookes and smash two Cookies together to make a double stuff - dangerously delicous. KelinTx 1 Posted April 23, 2009 The Jello sugar free puddings are SOOO GOOD and under 100 calories. I buy the light cool whip in a can and swirl some on top and the whole thing is 100 calories. Feels super indulgent cuz it tastes so great and is satisfying to boot! Saw them do this on the biggest loser and i have one a few times a week.

ParrotheadCathy 0 Posted April 23, 2009 sugar free pudding -- buy the ready-to-eat cups OR make it with skim milk and you have something really yummy. There is a cheesecake variety that I love. slice fresh strawberries and sweeten with Equal or Splend and put some on top of your serving of pudding. Excellent treat. Also, sugar free popsicles and sugar free fudgesicles are wonderful summertime treats.
silvers320 12 Posted April 23, 2009 I operate with 3 ideas in minds: 1. Does Water make the craving go away? If not see #2 2. Can I get the taste I want another way for example a SF choc pudding with Peanut Butter gives me the taste of a bag full of Reese's cups but with far less calories. There are a lot of ideas on smart sweet swap outs on the web -you just have to look at them. 3. With my good friend the band - some times I just have what ever it is that I am craving. I am now content with 2 oreos instead of 3/4's of the bag. So even when I am bad I am so much better then I was 9 months ago.

noosagirl 0 Posted April 23, 2009 Wait 20 minutes. Then if you still feel like something sweet have a small portion of tin fruit and yoghurt. But if its only once a week have what ever your craving for.

miss meliss 0 Posted April 23, 2009 Found something great just today! Cocoa Almonds by Emerald. My sister found them at Sam's so I bet they are sold at Wal-mart as well. They taste really good, the cocoa does not add additional calories. It is a great source of protien and Fiber. I also love the SF pudding. I really like to make parfeit with coolwhip but sometimes it is too fluffy and it won't go down well. Adkin bars are also a nice treat!
