Is anyone out there from DFW area? I am working on my Lowfat diet 2weeks pre-op. I still have not decided between the Lap Band or the Realize band. The Realize port seems better but the design of the Lap Band seems sturdier. Any thoughts or comments?:thumbup::tongue_smilie::smile:

My doctor is a huge advocate of the newly design Realize (they just redesigned in about 6 weeks ago). He was indifferent prior to the redesign. I was just banded with the Realize last Thursday.

Sorry, I can't comment on a comparison of the two bands.

However, wanted you to know that there's a forum for all the April bandster's HERE - in case you'd like to share experiences with others of us being banded at around the same time. It's a wonderful place for support. I've seen the question raised there too.
