Looking for July 2005 bandsters!

Recommended Posts

I've lost 20.5 lbs. Seems to be going way to slow though. Since my second fill I've had a hard time eating/drinking anything. Even cottage cheese tried to choke me.

hey babe don't lose your faith! some tips to boost your metabolism

is to increase your Protein, Water, and try to walk just 30 min

a day. don't feel sad.. we are all different! it doesn't matter how fast

we lose.. at the end both of us we will reach the goal! thats for sure!!

I am down 32. I haven't lost anything in the last week, I know that I need to step up or should I say start an exercise program. I had a fill about 2 weeks ago and I have significant restriction. I have some problems with eating too fast, it seems if I go slow I am ok.

I'm in the holding pattern at my new weight of 249. I am happy with that. I may meet your challenge when you posted of losing 10 by Thanksgiving...I'll have to check back, but I think I've lost 4 since then, and we have 7 weeks (I think). PinkMary, you've lost a lot of weight! Keep after it! Cindy

Jenny, you should try chair aerobics (you can get tapes) or Water aerobics. That's what the exercise guru recommended for me after I hurt my back. Good luck!

Cindy thank you! i stuck the last 2 weeks but i know it was my fault!

today is Monday and i think its a good day for new and small goals.

like back to basics :) WATER-PROTEIN-EXERCISE!

Jenny: we all lose different and some people have difficulties on this journey

when they can't walk much or they have PCOS.

Weight loss also depending on how many and which diets we did before..

from which weight we started, our bmi, our psychological situation, our hormones

and many more.. its not good to compare ourselves with others since we dont know

their medical past.. we just hurt ourselves with no reason. even 2 pounds per month

its a victory! and we must celecrate cause we tried hard to be right here.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
