Hi!

I had lapband surgery on 4/8/09. Dr. Follwell is my surgeon. I actually have a friend that I am looking for and I forgot to find out her user name yesterday when we had our 1 week follow-ups. I weighed in at 213, 10 days before my surgery and, yesterday I weighed 200.2. My weight loss will probably be a little slower than a bunch of others but as long as I am following the program and having success I am happy. It is hard to see others have faster success but I am thrilled for them. Angie if you are out there let me know it is you!!!:sneaky:

Hi Steph,

Congrats on your surgery.

There's a forum for all the April bandster's HERE . I know there's an AngieB2009 who is there sometimes (she is having surgery this coming Friday). If that's not the right Angie, you might like to share experiences with others of us being banded at around the same time.

Also, you've been added to the list of April bandsters HERE.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
