Hello all,

I am soooooooooooo nervous, I go for my stress test in 3 hours.....I am so outta shape how do they expect me to be able to handle it???? I get tired & out of breath walking up my steps in my home..never mind a stress test on the treadmill with the speed & incline increasing:w00t:

If I was in shape I wouldn't need the surgery...

I hope to make it home in one piece and not end up on the floor.......................

Are they having you do a treadmill test mine was a PET Stress Test and it was all done chemically while I laid in the camera took about an hour for the complete thing instead of hours like a treadmill test. Good Luck

I wish mine was done chemically!! I had to do the treadmill. By the end (and when I could finally get my breath to talk) I told them I didn't like them very much! LOL But it was all good. YUCKY tho.

Weeellllll I'm home & its OVER:smile::smile: It was not as bas as I was anticipating.....It was the treadmill test and it was actuallly a lot shorter than I expected..I was only on the treadmill approx. 15 minutes...I guess my heart rate reached my goal pretty quickly....They examined my heart (with the echo) while it was still pumping really fast and compared it will the echo from las week & said it looked good.

Okay so I got my clearance from the cardiologist:biggrin::blush::tongue:...now on to the next step, next week is the seminar, then I have to schedule my psych. appointment.

I actually feel like I'm on the path.........step by step I will get there:rolleyes2:

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
