Or two .

First question . What does PB mean ?

Second question. I have a 10 cc band (??),my first fill they put in 2 cc and my second fill, they only put 1 cc in ??

It's been a month since I had my last fill and now I pretty much have NO restriction. I'm frustrated and not sure what to do. Is this normal ?? They won't do a fill for me until 6 weeks after my last fill.

I posted this is the Post op section but then realized ,I should have posted it here.

I'm just worried that I'm doing something wrong ?

I had surgery in November of 2008 and have lost 32 pounds since then, which my Doctor is pleased with but I'm not sure I am. I lost 30 prior to the surgery and now I feel like things are slowing down.

PB = Productive Burp. If you eat too fast and don't chew your food well, or something just gets stuck on its own, if you start salivating a lot (called "sliming") you may suddenly have the stuck food come back up. One person thought it was projectile vomiting but it's just regurgitation. No stomach acid, just the food that didn't go down.

Almost all doctors do fills in small amounts. If they put too much in, they just have to do an unfill and you really don't want to experience being too full. You can't even swallow your own spit -- been there myself once. And for most people, it takes several fills to get to your sweet spot. And once you get to your sweet spot, you should see 1-2 pounds a week on the average say goodbye.

PB means productive burp. This is when you've eaten too much and now you're overfilled, produce a lot of saliva and have to throw up what you've eaten in its whole state. I also have a 10cc band, filled to 5cc's, I believe. I had my surgery, lost 14 lbs prior to surgery and in total about 54 lbs. I eat much less, but really dont eat lowfat foods. I eat regular foods, just much less of it. I have just started using a treadmill and that seem to be picking up the weight loss. I am so bad, cant chew slowly and dont take small bites. Tough habits to break.

Some doctors are more conservative in their approach to fills (some literature suggests aggressive fills can cause esophageal spasms and a host of other problems, although some surgeons DO aggressive fills).

Just hang in there! It's a process. Use this time to practice. (chew well, small bites, no liquid with meals, whatever directions you were given)

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
