WorkingMom 0 Posted April 9, 2009 I go to the gym at 4:50 am everyday so that I am there for the 5:00 am door opening. I have been very focused and have been upping my workout intensity and duration the last 10 days. Today I was ready to really push, and ugh, I discovered I left my ipod home. I don't have the time to go back home, as if I did, I'd risk the chance of running into my 6 year old twins, and then I'd be pouring Cereal, etc. (DH is with them at that time, but if I showed up, it would change everything) I also have a 7:48 am. train to catch, so even 10 minutes throws me off. It is so weird how I just felt defeated and not able to have a 'great' workout. I choose not to run, but instead did the eliptical and weights, but aw...I am still feeling bummed now! Tomorrow is a new day, and my 3rd fill. Can't wait!
chocolate_snaps 3 Posted April 9, 2009 Working out without music is TORTURE! But you did it anyway, be proud of yourself!
JennBand08 0 Posted April 10, 2009 Oh that is the worst! I know how frustrating that is. Kudos to you for getting your exercise in early in the mornin though.. I sure struggle with that. I need to get into a routine of just knocking it out in the morning that way I'lll not have time for excuses! I just got an iPod touch, I still have to figure out how to make a playlist so that I can group good workout songs together. I hate fumbling with it while I'm on the treadmill, I swear one of these days I am going to go flying off! LOL
philtrannie 0 Posted April 11, 2009 Workout without music is like rowing a cruise ship with half a paddle, so hard to do, but yet you did it --Yea for you. You have your eyes on the prize--a healthy you. My friend worked out the day and had her Ipod with her. She didn't realize that she was singing LOUDLY and the whole gym got to hear show tunes and oldies but goodies. At least she can sing, unlike me. I probably would have cleared the place with my howling voice, LOL. Good luck on your new healthy you adventure. You can do it, IPOD or not.
