Newbie from Australia!

Hello all, I am a future lap bander.

I'm scheduled to undergo surgery in Mid May, and found this site when looking for ideas for a post op diet. I am 5'5 and currently weigh 230 pounds, having managed to lose 14 kilos (30 pounds) on my own through pre-op diet and exercise.

I am feeling a little nervous at the thought of undergoing surgery, but I am and always have been a 'fat person', and I honestly don't want to go through life that way any more.

I'm going to enjoy digging through the past stories on this site, and am looking forward to sharing my own journey with you all!
