Fill Dr. in Little Rock

Recommended Posts

I will be in Little Rock week after next and I will be ready for a fill then. There isn't anyone here at home that will do a fill on a Mexico banded patient so I thought maybe I could find one while I was in Little Rock.

I am speaking 2 days for only 1 1/2 hours each day so I could easily get a cab and go get a fill if I can find a good Dr. I am a "BIG BABY" and do not like needles, so I need someone who is understanding in that regard. I passed out twice, once with a TB test and another time just getting bllod drawn.........big bid big wuussss.

I have an Inamed band.

Dr. Rex Luttrell did my surgery & does my fills in Little Rock. Very nice man & easy on the eyes. He numbs you up before doing the fill. Don't know if he would fill you this early on though. I think he made me wait 4-6 weeks. I know he has done a port revision on a Mexico patient. I don't see him having a problem with it. Give him a call (501)552-4870.

Good luck. They have also been advertising a Lap-Band clinic somewhere here in Arkansas. I have been seeing the commercials on TV the last couple of weeks. If I see it again I will post the name for you.............Jess

Thanks Jessie! I will give his office a call tomorrow. I will actually be 4 weeks out before I get the fill. I won't be there until week after next I just thought if I was going to do that I would need to get an appointment early.

Thanks! I returned from Little Rock today and didn't get a fill. My Dr. sent me an e-mail and said I needed to wait two more weeks, until I was six weeks post-op.

I guess I will go to Dallas in two weeks.

Thanks for the help though.

Sorry you couldn't get your fill, but I'm glad your following your docs directions. I'm afraid some people would have gone ahead and done it. Good luck to you!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
