One day post-op and feeling great!

Had the band placed yesterday morning. Aside from a little tenderness at the incisions and feeling like I have done about a million sit-ups there has been no pain. I keep expecting the gas pains to start but they haven't yet. How long does it usually take for the gas pain to start? Are they usually immediately after the surgery or does it take a day or two for them to start?

It seems like I remember that it took a couple of days for mine to kick in...and boy, did they ever. Felt like someone had poked a hot ice pick into my shoulder!

Best thing you can do (even starting now) is to take Gas-X to the fullest extent allowed by the direx (like 4x/day?). Move around as much as is reasonable. I would even just rock back and forth on my feet rather than standing still like while cooking or brushing my teeth.... movement is the answer!!
