Friday Morning Weigh-in, April 3

Recommended Posts

I'm finally loosening up after my last fill, and I finally feel like I've hit the "sweet spot". Let's see how long it lasts. None the less, it was a pretty good weight loss week.

Last Friday: 213

This Morning: 210.5

Down another 2.5 from last week

Great job Bryan!

As for me...

Last week: 235.4

This week: 235.0

Loss: 0.4 lbs

I'll take it. It's TOM, plus, at first, I thought I had gained .6 because I thought last week's weight was 234.4. So I was happy when I checked my calendar to see it was 235.4.

Also, I got my 2nd fill on 3/26. He took me from .6cc to 2.1cc, which kind of shocked me because he is generally pretty conservative. I had my first PB EVER Thursday night, and I'm sure it was from eating too fast and not chewing well enough. I had the stuck feeling for about 30 minutes, then it decided to come up. I was surprised at how little food it was that was actually stuck.

Woohoo!! I just noticed - i'm only .4 of a BMI away from no longer being morbidly obese! I'll just be plain old obese!

I have a fill next week. I am bouncing up and down one or two pounds the past few weeks. Very annoying. I am back to the 164 area. I sure would like to get to 159 by the end of the next week or two. Can't seem to move past the 160s now.

I think I'll jump start by having liquids for a couple of days.

Hope everyone does better.

Good job everyone! Keep up the hard work!

Last Week: 172

This Week: 168

Change: Minus 4

Dropped another pant size to boot... Down to 31 inch blue jeans.

Have a great week!

Brad

Looks like that SEVENTH fill was a charm! Before I had so little restriction that it was only to the point of being annoying rather than helpful and then WHAM....Now I know what everyone was talking about!!!! The fact that it took fussing for flouro to get it was all worth it.

It was a 4# week

I need another fill. Hopefully he can see me this week. I had a fill on the 25th and it held for a week, but no more.

Hi everyone,

I am down 4 pounds this week! I am excited!! I had a fill last week and it seems to be working for me. The kickboxing I'm sure is helping too.

I finally hit the 50lb loss!

Have a great week.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
