Do you think eating about every 2 hours....high Protein stuff is better than 3 meals a day ???? I feel like I am doing better on the high protein, small frequent meals.....but my doc says 3 meals a day..... He told me last visit to cut out breakfast...due to being hungry and seeking food at night...

I am not happy with my weight loss right now.... it is probably mostly my fault...but I need some advice.....

I am exercising about 30 minutes each day- walking. Like for breakfast... one bowl of oatmeal or Cereal with milk...

Then mid morning snack.... apple with 1 oz of almonds....

lunch either a big salad or a small frozen entree....snack

yogurt or Peanut Butter with 4 crackers.... then supper

small meal.......then 7 or 8 like some cheese cubes,,, or

popcorn....weight watchers ice cream..... one piece of bread with turkey...something like that...(just one out of those) LOL I do have Polycystic ovary syndrome.... I know that doesn't help....

Is the doctor pulling out in saline to make sure you still have the 6.4 in the band when he does the fill? You just don't have enought restriction yet. Ask him if you get next fill with an Xray so he can look and see what the pouch is doing. Make sure you don't have a tiny leak or any of that fun stuff. I am not trying to make you nervous. This is just some of the stuff that can happen. Get it ruled out. Do you fell like you have restiction for a few days after a fill then it goes away?

Yes he is pulling it all back out to make sure it is all in there...... No I cannot say I feel the restriction after the fill.... after this last fill I feel more than I ever have...But I am just now feeling it....and it is 6 month ! he has been putting 0.6 ml x past 2 times..... Here I was hoping to lost 50 lbs by xmas ! (last xmas).... It is going to be slow slow slow...... Then I stress eat...cuz I am worried.... Trying not to do that. I am trying to recognize it.. The hubby is getting me the Wii Fit for my birthday next week....so that will be good !

OH Girl,

You just don't have enought restriction yet. .6 is a small amount at a time. Give it more time. One thing I did is bought the book Biggest Loser 30-Day Jump Start. It has pictures and explains how to do the exercises. Has meal plans. But I did not use the meal plans.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
