Banded and Verrry happy with results

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone

My name is Marie and I was banded July 8, 2008. For anyone who is not sure about going to Monterry Mexico with Dr. Zapata I can asure you that you will have a great experience.

On July 8, 2008 I weighed 207lbs today almost 9 months later I now weigh 134lbs and very proud of myself. I thought I would have a very hard time but eating, drinking, and exercising is very important. If you have been struggling for a very long time with different diets that just don't work this is for you.

From the moment you arrive to the day you leave, Dr Zapata and his team are very professional, friendly, and give you all the information you need to succeed.

The best thing about it is that Ready4Achange assist in making all the reservations and you don't have to worry about anything. Just get there and get ready to change your life for the better.

Thanks,

Marie

I always get kinda irked by posts like this. How do we know your even real? you could be someone from Dr. Zapata's office trying to sell his services. Well if you are real welcome if not i wish you would stop because this kind of advertising is just sad.

my 2 cents.

Hey hey I was banded by Dr. Zapata too! I had a great experience save for the pain. I don't think I was mentally prepared for that. This being my 1st surgery ever. Apart from that, Dr. Zapata and his staff are awesome! I hope to get to where you are Mddorame!

Mr ksill18

You have the right not to trust what people say and I didn't mean it to sound like a sales pitch but I am really happy with the results. I had been struggling with my weight for about 10 years now and at least for me Dr Zapata and his team made a miracle of something I thought I could never accomplish.

I have my before and after pictures I just havent downloaded them yet but I will be posting them so that like you there may be others who still don't believe and again it is understandable because I have also heard of business who actually post positive feedback to get people to look at thier products but this fortunately is the real deal

Thank you Mrs_Mauricio and you will also get to your goal weight. Just stay positive and have patience.

God Bless You

Marie

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
