ashleyb 0 Posted April 2, 2009 So on the 3ed of April I will be a month out. And i can eat everything and anything i want to. I can eat a lot more then I thought I should be able to. About 1/2 of what i could before maybe a little more. My weight loss has stopped. The last few days I have given up for some reason on myself and ate everything in sight. I feel like crap today, i think i have a virus i feel so achy all over. My next appt. isn't till the 23ed and I don't wanna wait that long to get a fill I'm going backwards instead of forwards, and of course It's my fault. I take responsibilty for what I have chosen to put in my mouth. I was going to the gym everyday and then just stopped. I hate working out. I need a freakin Shove in the right direction. I told myself I wasn't gonna be one of those people who screw up there band and eat things the shouldn't after my surgery But that's what I have become. Everyday I say Today is gonna be different and for some reason I choose to not make it different. Advice would be great. Thanks
IWannaBeSkinny 0 Posted April 2, 2009 I have been having the same problem. I am 3 months out (almost). Do you have myspace? maybe we can keep each other a little more accountable... myspace.com/mrsjess
bambam31 168 Posted April 2, 2009 Ashley! Pick your chin up, buckle down and get back on track! What you've experienced is not all that unusual. Welcome to bandster hell! All of the restriction you were feeling was from surgery trauma and now it's healed and gone! The hunger is like the roaring lion on the band advertisements. It will get better with each fill, but it may take 2, 3, 4, or even more fills to achieve satisfactory restriction. You're in the period that requires a lot of will power. And long term, a lifestyle commitment is required - one that involves dedicated exercise - it's a fact of life. The whole process goes much easier when you are seeing results and feeling better. Never throw your hands in the air and give up - just pause, reaffirm to yourself why you did this surgery and steer yourself back on track! Brad
zukagirl22 1 Posted April 2, 2009 You most likely won't feel any restriction until you have had a few fills. i know it took me 3 fills before i felt rectsriction. Good luck!

Ladeday 0 Posted April 2, 2009 I had my surgery January 15th and have had 4 fills and I am still not tight enough. Just try to hang in there and don't get discouraged. It will happen, they just have to get you at the right fill point. Good Luck and keep us posted. Debbie
luchay 0 Posted April 2, 2009 Thank G there are banders out there that feel like I do. I was banded 2/23/9 and get my first fill 4/4. i was pretty good for three weeks then the same bad eating habits, hunger and obsession returned. It has been discouraging the last week or so. Thank you everyone for responding and giving us hope. As long as this is normal I dont feel so bad, like maybe i am just not going to make it! Hang in there iwanabeskinny and i will too. i am hoping i am one of the rare birds that gets some restriction after the first fill. Hangin on in Austin, Luchay :smile2:
