I am shooting for 4, but I am sure it will be 4:30 before everyone is there. I was told that parking is difficult around there. Make sure you bring change for the meter. ~Mandy

Ok, I have 4pm ressies for 10, they can seat more if nessary. The cost is $8.99 a person for unlimited trips to the stir-fry bar. drinks are extra. He explained it like this, if you make something and want to try something different, just go back to the bar and start over. You can make big or small portions and they will make it into Soup or stir fry. Sounds like fun, can't wait to see everyone. ~Mandy

Keri and I were the only LBTer's there, I brought a friend and so did she. The food and company were equally great. I had a wonderful time and so did my friend. (he had GBP 4 years ago) Keri has a great smile and her friend Tab is really nice. I know she has a picture on her digi cam, I forgot mine. She said she would post it so everyone can see how much fun we had. I would like to plan another luncheon and have loads of people come and share their experiences. It was nice to meet a fellow bandster. The restaurant was cool and the food is a unique experience everytime as you prepare it yourself and choose your own meat, veggies and sauces. Way cool. ~Mandy

Yes, we had a great time- we missed the other Chicago bandsters- that's for sure- okay I will post our pic- but it may take me a little while to figure out how to do it!

Flat top grill was great- yummy food. Can't wait for the next one- Great pick Mandy!

Mandy has promised to post pics from her "adults-only" Disney trip- can't wait to see them.

Chicago Bandsters- we are planning an April 2006 Chicago/Illinois/Wisconsin Bandster Bash- I volunteered my home- I live northwest of the city-

Mark your calendars!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
