also, does anyone have any Protein Drink suggetions? i cant find the one they gave me i the hospital...

if anybody has any other suggestions to help fight gas, id love to hear it! gas-x strips and warm Soup have really been saving my life...

Whoo hooo, Congratulations!! I was banded 3/11 and I love it.

I drank the Isopure instead of the shakes. Its a clear liquid in a 20 oz bottle, it comes in different flavors and it has no sugar and 40 grams of Protein per bottle. You can get it at GNC, and it tastes really good over ice. Good Luck!!

I live in Valencia and am just doing my research. Who did you surgery? Do you know who is supposed to be a good surgeon in the LA area?

I am in the process of qualifying for surgery. I'm looking for some positive feedback on lapband and you seem to be happy. Any regrets? Is it hard? I see a lot of issues from people on this website? Would love some to hear the good points. I need to lose approximately 100 lbs as well.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
