Actually, I can find some pork products here. They aren't everywhere, of course, and they're expensive, but around. Apparently one of the store chains has bacon, and there's a butcher somewhere in the city that has pork. I've no idea where, though.

I think this would be a slider food. This type of food liquifies quickly then slips right through the band. You want a Protein that is going to keep your pouch full for a while.

I would agree that it is considered a slider food but at least it is not a bunch of carbs for an evening snack. Still waiting for a dietitians reply....

I tried eating them and all i can say is "OH THE PAIN" , they were so dry going down it was horrible, so i took a drink and that must of mushed them into a big ball instead of washing it down, took a long time to pass. Will not eat them again. Was not a slider food for me as they did not slide but "sat" there.

I try to eat Pork rinds instead of chips or crackers when I'm having a "crunchy, salty" craving. I've had them maybe three times since surgery, without any trouble. There's only one brand I like and I always get them because they have lots of salt. I figure the way you do, at least it's not sugar. We are not NEVER going to eat slider foods. This is not a "you can't eat this ever again" diet. You have to have what you want occasionally, or a good substitute for what you want that will fullfill the craving. Try one and see what happens. If it's bad, you'll know.

"Protein and Salt" --- and the fat they fried them in. I imagine the fat would make the chewed skins into a sticky consistency that would then stick when you swallowed.

I have 5.5cc and can eat Pork rinds. But, my dietitian said for me not to eat them because of the fat. I can eat them all day but, have only had them 3 times in 2 months. Seems the last time I ate them they did stay up top for a while no pain.....LONG LIVE THE PIG.

Oh dear! I have been snacking on Pork rinds. I have not had my first fill and can't seem to stay full for very long. although there is 5 grams of fat, there are no carbs in the regular rinds and only 70 calories in a serving (9 pieces.)

Crumbled Pork rinds also make a great alternate breading for some dishes!

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
