286---- still can't believe I share this number. I think my Driver's License says 220 or even 200

I had gained a few pounds but now am back down to 195.2. I had a fill on 5/20 so hopefully that is already helping.

280.5 today. That's 6.5 down this week and 33 down total.

Of course, I had to go in yesterday and get UNfilled because my band was too tight. The PA said my surgeon will fill the band completely and then take out enough to make the pressure equal and ensure there are no air bubbles. For some it's as little as 0.5ccs. For me, the PA took out 3.2ccs and I still have 0.5ccs left. That was almost 4ccs in there before. Now I'll probably have no restriction like most people a month out and I'll be ravenous and stop losing so quickly. Oh well, to me it's better than having chest pain everytime I swallow.

270lbs for me today. It's not as much as I wanted to see, but it's still on track.

The dr feels i'm doing great and did not do a fill today. i go see him again in July and he will decide then if i need the first fill then. i'm so very excited - i haven't weighed on fridays yet but now i can set my scale to match the dr's office and will begin the weekly weigh ins. Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
