Rogue 0 Posted March 26, 2009 Okay, so today is my 9th day on the liquid pre-op diet and just when I thought I was doing well....I start feeling like I got off a major roller-coaster. You know the kind...the one that shakes your body and makes you feel like your head weighs a ton. Getting a major headache and feeling queasy. Has this happened to you? This may be too much info, but to top it off my "aunt flo" decides to visit me today. I'm getting enough fluids so I just hope Wed, 4/1, rolls around soon. Thanks for listening! laurenlee 1 Posted March 27, 2009 Hi Guys, I'm right there with you. Surgery April 1st. Started all liquid a day early. Day 10 and feeling hungry for the first time in a long time. Going to have my last shake now and that ought to do it for the night. Down 11 pounds. Not one single bite of food in 10 days. Wednesday will be here before we know it. The end and the beginning is in sight.

Suzdavis 0 Posted March 27, 2009 Rogue, Are you a diabetic still taking meds? My Dr told me to watch my numbers and adjust if need be. I have been on pre-op for 3 days and sometimes have felt strange and when check my sugar it is really low. Just a thought. If so be sure and call your Dr and ask him how to adjust your medicines......
Rogue 0 Posted March 27, 2009 Yeah, I think your right. I'll have to keep an eye on my glucose levels. I really think that's what kicking my butt. I'm not on meds, but I've been borderline diabetic. I have hypertension so I've been monitoring that closely. I also tried a different Protein Drink today, Slim Fast Optima, and it was pretty tasty (not yucky at all!) Thanks to all of you for your input - it makes a difference!
