Sleepin in a chair

Recommended Posts

Didn't mean to freak you out, Pezo. Deep breathing is more to encourage you to expand your lungs while you are in post-op stages, for a couple of days, to avoid pneumonia. Especially for those who've had major surgery that has them laid up in the hospital for a couple of days. My surgery required me to stay over night. I also had a complication of a hiatal hernia that needed repair and taking deep breaths for the night was sore at first, but now I'm better and I'm 4 days post. You will do fine!!!

I got it and still had trouble doing the from sitting to laying position but I really wanted my bed so I fell asleep only to wake up in a bad position and my guts felt like they were being ripped out.....So I gathers up my blankies a hauled a*# to the chair.....wasn't worth it:tt1:

o.k. I woke up with a bad crick n my neck from chair sleeping so this morning I decided to try my waterbed (didn't consider anything but getting some restful zzzzz's) and it was awesome I loved my waterbed when I was pregnant cuz it moves around you.....An guess what getting out was just fine because of the wooden side rails I could grab to assist me in exiting....woo who.....but I won't be sleeping in it at night because I will keep my hubby up with all of my snoring but it is good to know that I can crash for a few hours of GOOD sleep......

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
