reeree123 0 Posted March 26, 2009 Found the site, thought I would check it out. I have my surgery set for July 2, 2009. I am nervous to say the least. afraid of all the changes that it will bring to my life, physically, emotionally, mentally, spiritually....It has been over a year since I started the process with my health care provider but they have finally signed off on it and I am ready to go. But, what is important is that you are confident in your decision, did plenty of research and are confident in your chosen doctor. Read the forums, you will learn a great deal here about life with the band, what to expect and great tips and advice.
ParrotheadCathy 0 Posted March 26, 2009 There's a lot of valuable information on forums like this. Alot of people talk about the changes they've made, how they are using the lap band as a tool to help them make changes. Got a question? Somebody here has already been there and will answer it. The changes that bothered me so before surgery were no more carbonation and not drinking immediately before, during and after a meal. Guess what? I don't miss those Diet Cokes AT ALL. And if you eat as instructed -- small bites, chew well -- you won't miss the liquids with a meal either. So ask away! And let the experienced folks ease your mind!
