txspatter 0 Posted March 26, 2009 In all honesty (banded March 12th)...you're right, the trapped air does bring pain. However, the outcome of it all is worth the suffering. I'm sure it differs with everyone, but the air has to work it's way out of the body. Walk as much as you can and be strong...remember why you're doing this! AllieKat35 0 Posted March 26, 2009 (edited) It will obviously depend on the meds that your surgeon prescribes for you during and after surgery. I was just banded on March 9th and honestly, the pain was almost non-existent for me in the hours follwing surgery. My medication they gave me in my IV must have been really good...lol Because of this though, I think I overdid it with walking around too much that day. I would recommend taking it really easy the first day. I was pretty sore for the next few days. The worst part is definitely the "gas pains". Not comfortable, but they will subside... Take the meds regularly as they prescibe them and you will be fine! No need to worry...:cursing: If you have any more questions or concerns, please feel free to msg me. :)Ali Edited March 26, 2009 by AllieKat35
